What CarsPool.pk is

CarsPool.pk introduces people who are already travelling the same route so they can share the cost of the fuel. We are not a taxi service and we are not a transport operator. Drivers are not our employees or our contractors. They are people making a journey they were making anyway.

Cost sharing, not fares

The amount shown in the app is the fuel cost for the trip divided by the number of people in the car. It is a contribution to a shared expense, not a fare. There is no surge pricing, and we take no commission on the ride. Money changes hands in cash, in the car, between the people in it.

Using the app

• You must be 18 or older.
• The details you give us must be true, and the documents you upload must be your own and valid.
• One account per person.
• You may not use CarsPool.pk to run a commercial transport business.

If you drive

• You must upload your CNIC, your driving licence and your vehicle's documents, and a person on our team reads them. We may remove your account or your rides at any time if that review does not pass.
• You must hold a valid driving licence, and your vehicle must be legally roadworthy, registered and insured as the law requires.
• You approve or decline each seat request yourself.
• If you cancel or change a ride, the riders who booked it are told automatically. There is no cancellation fee, but cancellations are recorded, and repeatedly stranding people is grounds for us to remove your account.

If you ride

• A seat is a request until the driver approves it.
• You confirm the pickup with the four-digit PIN shown on the driver's phone.
• You pay your share in cash at the end of the trip.

Behaviour

Harassment, discrimination, threats, intoxication, weapons and any illegal activity are grounds for immediate and permanent removal. Ratings and disputes are reviewed by a person, and accounts can be suspended or blocked.

What we are responsible for, and what we are not

We verify driver documents and we build the tools described on our safety page. We do not supervise journeys, and we are not a party to the arrangement between a rider and a driver.

To the extent the law allows, CarsPool.pk is not liable for what happens during a journey, for the condition of a vehicle, or for the conduct of another user. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Ending your account

You can delete your account at any time. See deleting your account. We can suspend or end an account that breaks these terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.

Changes

If these terms change materially, we will tell you in the app before the change takes effect.
