What we check before we approve a driver
- CNIC uploaded The number, and a photograph of the card.
- Licence uploaded The driving licence, number and photograph.
- Read by a person Our team, not an algorithm.
Rawalpindi to Islamabad
CarsPool.pk matches you with people already driving your route. Fill the seats and see what a month actually costs you.
The driver approves every passenger, and every driver's CNIC and licence is read by a person before their account is approved.

A month, driving alone
Rawalpindi to Islamabad and back, 30 km a day, 22 days
A month, driving alone: Rs 21,600
Not a taxi
There is no fare, and there is no company taking a commission on the ride. Somebody is already driving that road, you are going with them, and the cost of the trip is split between whoever is in the car.
Yahan koi driver hire nahi hota — ek banda waise bhi is raste pe ja raha hai, aap us ke saath ja rahe hain, aur safar ka kharcha aapas me bant jata hai. Ride pe hamari koi commission nahi.
Rawalpindi to Islamabad, every working day
30 km a day, 22 working days, a 1300cc sedan at 11 km per litre. Change any of that in the calculator.
Fuel only. Tolls, parking and wear are on top, and they split the same way.
In the app
Step 1
Enter your route and the time you leave. Save it as home and work once, and you never type it again.
Step 2
The app shows drivers already on your corridor at your time, how far away they are, and the seats they have free.
Step 3
You request it. The driver approves or declines. Nobody joins a car without the driver saying yes.
Step 4
Everyone pays their share, in cash, in the car. Nobody is hired, no surge, no commission on the ride.
How the matching works
You are joining one that is already going. Get on partway, get off partway — the app only shows you drivers whose road actually passes both your ends.
Your pickup and your drop both have to fall within a short distance of the route the driver saved, and your drop has to be further along that route than your pickup. The app asks the database that question before it shows you anything, so a ride that does not fit both your ends never appears — and you can never be matched backwards.
Side by side
What changes between them is not only what you pay. It is who is driving the car, and who is taking a cut of the money.
Scroll the table sideways if all three do not fit.
| What is being compared | Driving alone | A ride-hailing app | CarsPool.pk |
|---|---|---|---|
| What you pay | The whole cost. | A fare the company sets. | A share of the cost, divided by the people in the car. |
| Who is driving | You are. | A driver hired by a company. | Somebody who was already making that trip. |
| Who takes a cut | Nobody. | The platform, on every ride. | Nobody. No commission on the ride. |
| Surge | Does not apply. | Yes. The fare moves with demand. | None. There is no surge code in the app at all. |
| How you pay | At the pump. | Card or cash, through the app. | Cash, in the car. No wallet, no card. |
No rupee figures in this table, on purpose. There is no honest source for what a ride-hailing app charges on your route, and that fare moves with demand anyway, so this compares how the three are arranged rather than what they cost. The fuel arithmetic is further up the page. On intercity trips the driver sets a price per seat instead of splitting the cost.
Safety
So we would rather show you what the app actually enforces than tell you that it is safe.
Every seat is a request the driver has to approve. The seat is only taken off the count once they say yes, and that rule is enforced in the database, not in the app.
A driver uploads their CNIC and driving licence before they can be approved, and somebody on our team reads them.
Your stop is yours, anywhere along the route, and the driver's final stop is stated before you request. Both sides confirm the drop-off.
There is no wallet, no card and no payment gateway anywhere in the app. Nothing to steal, and no card details to lose.

Get off where you need to, anywhere along the route. The driver's final stop is stated before you ask for a seat.
There is no surge pricing anywhere in the app, because there is no surge code anywhere in the app. Nothing to cap and nothing to explain.
Nothing is taken out of what you pay. It goes straight from you to the person driving.
No wallet to top up, no card to add, no payment gateway at all.
Both languages, right to left included.
Your impact
You do not have to keep count. The app does it from your first ride: how many you took, what stayed in your pocket, and the CO2 you did not put in the air by driving alone.
